Afternoon Tea Table – DIY Decorations

You can make beautiful afternoon tea tables for your Afternoon tea boxes without having to spend much or needing complicated things. And while you may not win the best decorated house, a few easy DIY decorations will turn any setting into something that your guests are sure to remember! How about a few simple ideas to get your creativity flowing:

  1. Homemade Bunting

Slit some paper or fabric and lace them up in one thread in all colours for some joyful decorations. Hang up your bunting above the table for a fun bit of decoration whether its straight across the ceiling or or along the edge of the table.

  1. Fresh Flowers in Jars

Cut some wildflowers or flowers of the season and place them in glass vases. You can also use normal jars but teacups would be cute too. A few bud vases here and there brings an organic elegance to your table.

  1. Personalised Place Cards

Handwrite all your place cards and make every guest feel special. Alternatively, if you would like to use a little more expensive paper or simply add an inch of lavender with fabric tape then stack these at each setting!

  1. Vintage China Mix-and-Match

Vintage china from your cupboards or local charity shops. Mix different patterns and colours that will appear really playful, giving a friendly and quirky look. For Afternoon tea boxes, visit Afternoon Tea Box.

  1. Teapot Centrepiece

In the middle of your table, add a wow factor centrepiece with flowers or greenery in an easy tea pot tribute to the tradition of afternoon tea.

These simple decorations make a perfect event of it. There is always a way to make your table high tea style, only limited by the extent of your own imagination!
