What is PASMA and what does it mean?

PASMA was founded in 1974 and has been a recognised authority for mobile access towers ever since. PASMA, a body recognised in the UK, South Africa and SouthEast Asia, is responsible for safety and training standards relating to mobile towers.

PASMA works with industry regulators and professional bodies to provide essential safety guidelines and regulations. They are responsible for developing and governing the industry-standard training scheme for mobile towers and height working. PASMA certificates are required by many individuals to demonstrate their skills and ensure job security.

What is a PASMA Certificate?

Most employers will now ask for proof of PASMA certification, either in the form of a card or certificate. The PASMA Certification you get after completing a PASMA registered and approved training is what it’s all about. These certificates are valid for five years, and you should renew them when they expire to ensure that you stay up-to-date with new laws or regulations.
