The first method of how to organise products in a warehouse is to manually type the serial numbers of your goods. It can be a time consuming process and can lead to mistakes if you are not sure of what you are doing. If you are looking to stock items from the same manufacturer, they will often have similar serial numbers meaning you can cross reference between different places when working out how many units you need to store. Another benefit to this method is that you can check each item in the warehouse for accuracy, you may not always have the same number as the quantity listed on the packaging. This can lead to stock being wrongly stocked as well as affecting the price you receive for each product ordered.

The second method of how to organise products in a warehouse is to programme your computer so that you can use specific software to control everything. This is an ideal way of storing large volumes of goods as you can program each product to be stored at certain times. You can also program your computer to tell you when an item is out of stock, another useful feature if you sell by the weight or by the volume. It can be very difficult keeping track of everything in an organised fashion but using software can make the job a lot easier.
